August 6, 1959
It was quite a pitching duel at Seals Stadium. Sam Jones and the San Fransisco Giants edged out the league leading Milwaukee Braves 1-0. Both starting pitchers allowed only 2 hits, but one was a solo blast by Eddie Bressoud off Lew Burdette in the bottom of the 5th. That run held up for the winning score. Jones walked 3 and struck out 7 in the complete game, shutout victory.
