It took 14 innings, but the Milwaukee Braves got their 13th Win in a row by defeating the San Francisco Giants 6-5. The Giants got off to a quick 4 run lead in the top of the 1st inning, but that didn't discourage Milwaukee. The Braves got a run in the 1st and 4 in the 2nd for a 5-4 lead. It was 5 a-piece after 9 innings before Milwaukee won it with a run in the bottom of the 14th.

The smoking-hot Milwaukee Braves edged the San Francisco Giants in 14 innings
at County Stadium by the score of 6 to 5.
Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Milwaukee
pulled the game out in the 14th inning. Hank Aaron delivered a one-base hit.
After an out was recorded, Frank Torre came to bat and hit a single making
Milwaukee victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Milwaukee
managed 12 hits in their victory.
Don McMahon(1-0) went 4 innings allowing no runs for the win. Stu Miller(2-1)
absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits
and 1 walk.
