The red-hot Milwaukee Braves won their 10th in a row tonight defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1. The Braves have started this 1959 season with an 11-1 record. Lew Burdette was outstanding, going the distance for his 4th Win of the year.

St. Louis lost it in the 7th inning when Milwaukee did all their damage when they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Bill Bruton who brought the crowd to their feet when he stroked a one-base hit which was good for two runs. Neither team was able to score until the 7th inning. The victory went to Burdette(4-1) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Larry Jackson(1-2) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 8 hits in 7innings.
