Chicago's Early Wynn became the first 10 game winner in the AL today. While he pitched a pedestrian game, for him, the White Sox had the bats working well enough for a 8-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox. Wynn went the distance allowing 4 runs for the Win. He is now 10-4 on the season.

Early Wynn pitched a complete game and right fielder Jim Rivera hit 2 doubles
and had 2 RBI as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Boston Red Sox by the
score of 8 to 4 at Fenway Park.
Chicago had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 4th inning with the help
of 4 hits. The big moment was provided by Billy Goodman who quieted the home
crowd when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Chicago totaled 14 hits
on the afternoon.
Wynn(10-4) allowed 4 runs on the game. Tom Brewer(6-6) was the loser. He got
hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 6 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Wth the win Chicago now has a record of 32-30. Still in a bad slump, with
this loss, Boston is 2-8 lately and 28-33 on the year.
